Click to Enlarge The Floating Palace is a four-cabin wooden houseboat with attached modern toilets and showers two on each deck with full size double beds, and cane furniture. The roof is made of Bamboo matting and sewn together with coir ropes, its hooded windows and ventilators guide the breeze in. It has a straw mat ceiling and coir carpets which provides a mixture of tradition and nature. This is an overnight trip, which starts in the afternoon.

After high tea sails down the Mandovi river and its estuaries cruising along at a steady pace in no hurry to reach its destination. It sails in its stately grace to the mouth of the river to join salty stretches for yet another sunset.

The boat will be anchored for the night after sundown for a sumptuous continental dinner. So lean back, feel the backwaters flow around you while you nod off to sleep to the boatman’s lullaby. Next morning after a full English breakfast, cruise along the National Bird Sanctuary of Chorao island and past sleepy villages while your Chef prepares your lunch. After lunch say adieu to Captain Combo and his merry crew and hop on to your transport that will take you back to the hotel.
